'My purpose is to lure observers away from the vagaries of life by inviting them to experience moments of relaxation, tranquility and occasional whimsy. Heavily influenced by Monet, I feel a painting is a partial glimpse into a scene wherein the viewer completes it by filling in the details. This process is evocative of sensations of romance, joy and simple pleasures in life by literally pulling a being out of the distractions of the mind and into an echelon of carefree aesthetics. My paintings are incomplete without the contribution of the thoughts and perceptions of the viewer which qualifies them as a sort of Contemporary Romantic Impressionism.'
